Jacqueline K Opondo

Lead Consultant/Managing Director

Jacqueline is a Corporate Governance, Audit, Strategic planning, Leadership and Management consultant. She has been in the Tax Administration and Consultancy for the last 30 years of which, 16 years have been in leadership positions in private, public and religious sectors. 

Jacqueline has more than 15 years’ experience in designing and conducting Training Programs, of which more than 10 years are on Leadership Development. Expertise is in Designing of training programs and plans of teaching and preparation of appropriate teaching materials and guidebooks; Team (Trainers) development and facilitation.

She is an internationally certified executive coach with the John Maxwell Team, a professionally qualified accountant, a member of ICPAU and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) with more than 30 years of work experience. She is a Certified Balanced Scorecard Practitioner and Faculty of Global Leadership Summit.

Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Makerere University Kampala and Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership and Management from UCU.

Jacqueline was the Commissioner, Internal Audit and Compliance, at the Uganda Revenue Authority. She held this position for five years up to May 2013 and prior to that she was the Commissioner for Domestic Taxes Department for three years from May 2005. She served as Tax Manager and Consultant with PwC for seven years and with IFC/World Bank.

Jacqueline was a Team leader, Community Care at Watoto Ministries and Executive Director of Watoto Child Care Ministries (WCCM) until December 2023. She currently serves as Board Chairperson, World Vision Uganda Board and Chairperson, Opportunity Bank Uganda Limited. She was previously Board Chairperson for Capital Markets Authority.
